Feel The Beat Of Alpine, the connected cap for sport performance and entertainment.
The Renault group through the Alpine F1 Team & Havas Play took Mentalista to the Formula 1 French Grand Prix which took place on July 23 and 24, 2022 at the Paul Ricard circuit.
Around an activation called #FeelTheBeatOfAlpine, Mentalista has designed a custom connected cap for fans in the stands and mechanics in the garages. The device used to measure in real time the heartbeat of each person equipped to transmit them on data visualizations in the paddocks.
In the paddocks, guests could follow the race with the heart activity of mechanics and fans. During the laps, heartbeats evolve quickly until reaching peaks during pit stops, safety car phase or DRS overtaking by Fernando Alonso or Esteban Ocon. This activation reveals the full power of the Mentalista electronic board by using its hyperscanning and multimodality features. Our hyperscanning technology has been selected by Alpine for its easy deployment on the circuit to synchronize data acquisition across all connected devices. We also demonstrated the possibility to access raw biological data anywhere on the circuit with the strong constraints due to this type of sports events.
With Mentalista, Alpine marks a major step in redefining the acquisition of biological data in sports competitions. Our headset offers the ability to gamify entertainment by engaging fans with their body activity and also to improve and track the performance of athletes and their team.
